The Child needs to meet the following requirements:
- Resides Outside the Us.
- Not Married.
- Must Complete Oath and Allegiance Ceremony Before He Turns 18.
- In the Legal and Physical Custody of The Us Citizen Parent.
- If the Child meets the above requirements we need to check if the parents meet the requirements.
The Parents:
- At least one parent must be a US Citizen.
- The US citizen parent has been Physically present in the US for at least 5 years.
- At least 2 of the years that they were physically present in the US must be after the age of 14.
- If the US citizen parent does not meet the physical presence requirement, we can check if the grandparents meet those requirements.
The Grandparents:
- US Citizens.
- Has been Physically present in the US for at least 5 years.
- At least 2 of the years that they were physically present in the US must be after the age of 14.
If the child is Eligible:
- Submit N-600K Application.
- Attend Biometrics Appointment at the US embassy.
- Attend an interview at the USCIS Center in the US.
- The Child needs to be lawfully present in the US for his interview.
- Attend Oath and Allegiance ceremony.
- Receive Certificate of Citizenship
